No, so long as you can show your ticket on your phone or tablet, we just need to be able to see the barcode on the ticket so it's advisable you download the ticket before you arrive.
You will be emailed a ticket that will include your unique booking reference number and a barcode. Please print this out and bring it with you on your visit.
No. Admission tickets must be used on the date they are valid for.
Unfortunately all tickets are non-refundable.
Yes you can, however purchasing an online advanced ticket will save you £1 off the adult ticket price. Online adult tickets are £8 and on the gate they are £9.
Yes. Please select the annual membership option on the ticket page, to ensure you book a timed slot. You'll need to present your membership card on arrival and also use your membership number when booking.
Yes you can. Please select the HHA member option on the ticket page, to ensure you book a timed slot. You'll need to present your membership card for scanning on arrival.
Yes. The 2 for 1 card option on the ticket page will only be avaialble when an adult admission ticket is also purchased.This must be done first,chronologically for the 2 for 1 to be accepted. You'll need to present the 2 for 1 card on arrival.
Yes. The tearoom will be open on our public open days. Any Government's restrictions will have to be followed and these are explained on the website under TEAROOM.We will be offering a very limited takeout menu and will be accepting contactless card payments or exact cash only. We are unable to take reservations for tables or food orders, and all menu items are subject to availability.
There is indoor and outdoor seating available.
Visitors are welcome to picnic but please bring a blanket and use the lower car park field for picnicking as picnicking is not allowed the garden. Please maintain social distancing and take all your rubbish home with you.
We only allow guide or assistance dogs. The car park is in full sun and therefore not suitable for dogs to be left in the car during the summer months.
The garden is mostly flat and accessible by wheelchair. The few steps, and slopes in the Croft and Rill mean a few areas will be inaccessible. Our garden map clearly marks which areas are and aren’t accessible.
After being an RHS Partner Garden for 20 years, from January 2021, we have withdrawn from the Partner Garden scheme. As a result, RHS members are now unable to use their RHS membership to gain free entrance to the Garden.
